The Truth About 1031’s

This will be short & sweet. “The Truth About 1031’s” by Reator Magazine was an article published in March 2021.

To the common person, it looks like a wa for the rich to get richer but in fact, the people who use this tax deferment the most are small-time investors just trying to move money from one good investment to another.

These have been under fire for a while but increasingly so with our current president, Biden, in office. Bottom Line - the amount of revenue that would be gained by eliminating 1031’s is nothing compared to the negative impact it would have on commercial RE & investment real estate as a whole. This isn't going to affect the big dogs - it’s going to majorly impact small-time investors and the retirement plans of individual families.
